Compliance level
The website www.notranjski-park.si follows the WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) 2.1 standard. Self-assessed compliance corresponds to level A.
Non-Accessible content
We continuously monitor the accessibility of the website and strive to continuously improve individual accessibility elements. Nevertheless, some published content does not meet all accessibility requirements as defined by ZDSMA and/or ZDPSI.
Non-accessible content includes:
- Certain visual content published in the past does not have an appropriate alternative description, because adding alternative descriptions retroactively would pose a disproportionate burden. For new content, alternative descriptions are included promptly.
- Some multimedia content (e.g., video clips) do not have captions or other alternative descriptions or translations into sign language. For content recorded before 23 September 2020, implementation is not mandatory. For others, a disproportionate burden assessment applies.
- Some documents (primarily PDFs) are not accessible. Back-conversion to accessible formats is not feasible without disproportionate costs.
For content that is not in an accessible format, users may request it by email or telephone, and we will provide an alternative version as soon as possible.
Assessment of disproportionate burden
The Notranjska Regional Park website, published at www.notranjski-park.si is designed to ensure maximum accessibility of published content and documents for all users, taking into account the provisions of the Law on Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications (hereinafter: ZDSMA) and also the provisions of the Law on Accessibility of Products and Services for Persons with Disabilities (hereinafter: ZDPSI).
Notranjska Regional Park assesses that the content and documents are accessible to the greatest possible extent, while noting that full adaptation of all existing content in accordance with the requirements of ZDSMA and ZDPSI would entail significant financial and organizational consequences for the institution. This is especially true for contents that include complex graphical elements, a large number of documents, multimedia content and other digital resources created before the legislation entered into force.
In the assessment of disproportionate burden, in addition to financial consequences, we also considered limited staffing capacity and the nature of the institution's activities. The Park publishes content created by partner organizations (over which we have no design influence), content that changes rapidly, or content with only short-term value. For this reason the law allows deviations from full compliance, in line with the assessment of disproportionate burden and based on this Accessibility Statement.
Notifications about cases of non-conformity, requests for information, and requests for content not covered by the scope of ZDSMA or ZDPSI, we accept at the email address info@notranjski-park.si or by telephone number 01 709 06 36.
We will assist users in obtaining all necessary information and documents. In accordance with Article 8 of the ZDSMA, users may:
- inform that the website is not compliant with the accessibility requirements from Article 5 of this law,
- request information regarding the contents of the website from the second paragraph of Article 3 of this law, and
- request information that, according to the assessment of disproportionate burden from Article 6 of this law, is not published in an accessible form.
We will respond to the received notice or request within eight days. If we cannot provide a suitable response within this period, we will inform the user when the response will be given and the reasons for the delay.
