A visit to Notranjska Park offers an opportunity to discover an extraordinary natural landscape, home to many rare and sensitive plant and animal species. To help protect this unique area for future generations, we kindly ask all visitors to follow the rules below: 

Respect for the Protected Area 

– You are in a protected natural area – please behave respectfully and avoid causing harm. 
– Respect local customs, the lifestyle of residents, and private property. 
– Park vehicles only in designated parking areas to avoid damaging nature or private land. 
– Motor vehicles must stay on official roads. Driving in the natural environment is prohibited by Slovenian law. 

Camping, Waste, and Fire Safety 

– Camping and overnight stays are allowed only in designated areas. 
– Always take your waste with you and help keep the environment clean and tidy. 
– Do not light fires – open flames are not permitted in natural areas. 

Plants, Wildlife, and Natural Quiet 

– Do not disturb wildlife – respect nature and listen to its sounds. 
– Keep dogs on a leash to protect wildlife. 
– Do not pick flowers. Let them remain in the natural environment for everyone to enjoy. 

Moving Around the Park 

– Stay on marked and maintained trails to avoid disturbing animals or damaging plants. 
– Before your visit, check the current conditions at the Visitor Centre (water levels, fishing season, etc.).
