Notranjska Park Day invites young and old explorers alike to a day full of experiences, creativity, and socializing in the mystical landscape of Lake Cerknica.
On Sunday, June 14, 2026, we invite you to Notranjska Park Day - a day of exploration, creation and socializing in the mystical land of Cerknica Lake. Between 9:00 and 16:00, the "Trikotnik" parking lot at Cerknica Elementary School will come alive with nature, family experiences and relaxed spending time outdoors.
"Let's dance" with Damjana Golavšek
At 10:00, the youngest visitors will be delighted by the interactive musical and animation performance "Rajajmo z Damjano Golavšek". By singing, dancing, playing and involving children in the event, slovenian singer and performer Damjana Golavšek will create a real little musical adventure, in which children will actively participate, sing and co-create the performance. The program is adapted to children of different ages and will also delight adult visitors.

Notranjska park - The Mystical Land of Lake Cerknica
Discover Notranjska Park, the largest protected nature area in the region and the host of the event.
At the Notranjska Regional Park stands, you will explore the natural wonders of Lake Cerknica through games, hands-on activities, and interactive presentations. You will also learn about the LIFE TRŠCA, LIFE for Seeds, and LIFE OrnamentalIAS projects, which contribute to the conservation of birds, grassland habitats, and native biodiversity.
You will have the opportunity to observe birds through a telescope, identify bird calls and plant species, learn about the importance of pollinators, and explore the fascinating world of grasslands, wetlands, and invasive plant species through a variety of games, challenges, and creative activities.
We will also present the Visitor Centre Lake Cerknica, guided excursions, hiking and cycling trails, and some of the park’s most popular experiences, including canoe safari on Lake Cerknica, downhill rides on monster rollers from Mount Slivnica, family sound walks, and many other outdoor adventures.
