On this four-kilometer circular footpath you will be accompanied by information boards with interesting information about the individual parts of the path, the plants and animals you will be able to see during the walk and, last but not least, about the 14 crystal springs that fill Lake Cerknica.
There on the plain, as Obrh appears, there is also the River of Seven Names, which after a few kilometers becomes Stržen and then, when it leaves Notranjska Park, becomes Rak, Pivka, Unica, all the way until, in Močilnik near Vrhniki, it surfaces as Ljubljanica.
In the first part of the Trail of Springs stands a more than 100-year-old maklen tree, which due to its old age and exceptional size is designated as a natural value and therefore protected.
There are also remnants of a water pumping station, which up to 2014 supplied Laz and Gorenje Jezero with drinking water, namely from one of the sources of Laški Studenec, which never runs dry.
At Obrh spring there used to stand a sawmill, for which in 1883 the plan was prepared by the owner of the Oštir farm. However, due to his premature death it never came to life. His descendants still keep the plan for the sawmill at home.
The map of all hiking trails in the mystical land of Lake Cerknica can be bought at the Visitor Center Lake Cerknica for a favourable price of 2,00 €.
