Kulturni dom (Cultural center) represents the center of cultural life in the Notranjska Park, offering visitors numerous opportunities for cultural participation, and the paved terrace in front of the house enables outdoor activities such as concerts and other events, and we also use numerous unique locations within the Notranjska Park area for organizing outdoor events.
Cultural Center Cerknica was renovated in 2006 and since then, on our stages, more than 1500 events of various genres have taken place. The current team of the cultural center has been active since 2017 in several areas, with the focus primarily on ensuring continuity of a high-quality program in the fields of music, theater, children's content and film. We place great emphasis on educational content and on obtaining new sources for the implementation of innovative content. We advocate for high standards of events in cooperation with local stakeholders in the field of culture and education.
Cultural center Cerknica has been a member of the national network of cultural centers and institutions of Slovenia (KUDUS) since 2017 and since 2019 a member of the Art Kino Network of Slovenia.
