Warblers (Sylviidae) are small and lively, usually insectivorous songbirds. Their reliance on insects as a food source is also the main reason that most of them migrate to milder climates with the arrival of winter. A number of warbler species look very similar to one another; the most reliable way to distinguish them is by their song and behavior. They usually nest in low vegetation near the ground or even on the ground, whereas reed-warbler species (genus Acrocephalus) inhabit reedbeds.
