Swallows

Kmečki lastovki (Hirundo rustica) sedita na vejici.

Swallows (Hirundinidae) are small birds of exceptional flying ability that catch adult insects in the air. They are characterized by pointed wings and usually a forked tail. They have short legs, so they tend to avoid the ground and walking, if possible. Their small beak is very wide, which allows them to catch insects in flight and feed in flight.
