Stone loach or kapelj (Cottus gobio) inhabits clean, well-oxygenated flowing waters, where it dwells among the stones. It feeds on aquatic invertebrates, primarily the larvae of aquatic insects. In the park area it occurs in swiftly flowing streams with a gravelly bottom.
