Underground

The underground is a habitat that has no contact with sunlight. This includes underground caves and abysses as well as small cracks in the host rock and the spaces between differently sized soil grains (interstices). Underground caves are characterized by many endemic species that are completely adapted to life without light. For interstices, the exact opposite is true; species that are widespread worldwide are common. The park area is rich in large underground spaces. In these spaces, water moves, coming from or leaving the lake.
