Urban surfaces are the work of human hands and, at least to some extent, imitate natural habitats. The difference lies in the proportions of the individual habitats, in a different redistribution of nutrients and food, and in constant human disturbances. Urban areas are regions that have the most invasive non-native species and species that have accompanied humans since ancient times.
