Wild leek (Allium scorodoprasum ssp. scorodoprasum) is a stately plant with a distinctive onion scent. A characteristic of the mentioned subspecies is the dark purple bulbils, which, together with the flowers, have developed into the inflorescence. Its six-petaled, pedicellate flowers are purple. The stamens are shorter than the petals. There are two bracts supporting the inflorescence, but during flowering they soon fall off. The round stem is leafy only in the lower part. The leaves on the flowering stem rise to varying heights. The leaves are flat, about 8 mm wide. Wild leek thrives on somewhat moist soils rich in nutrients.
It is scattered throughout Slovenia, but not common.
