Cvetoča širokolistna grašica (Vicia oroboides) na gozdnih tleh.

Family: legumes (Fabaceae)
Blooming period: May–June
Size: 25–50 cm
Habitat: deciduous forests and forest edges

The slender stem of broad-leaved vetch (Vicia oroboides) is leafed with pinnately compound leaves, which, however, do not end in a tendril, but with a short tip. Alternately arranged paripinnate leaves consist of up to three pairs of egg-shaped leaflets. These are long-pointed and short-haired. They are 40 to 80 mm long, and 30 to 45 mm wide. Yellowish flowers are 14 to 19 mm long. From two to eight flowers are grouped in short-pedunculated inflorescences. The broad-leaved vetch thrives in forests throughout Slovenia.
