French flax (Linum narbonense) is a perennial plant that usually sends up several stems bearing leaves with sessile linear leaves, arranged spirally. Five-petaled flowers, light blue in color with darker veins, are more than 5 cm across. It grows in sunny, rocky places. It is found only in southwestern Slovenia, in the Dinaric and sub-Mediterranean phytogeographic region.
