In the upper part of the thin erect stem of the common kosmuljka (Anthericum ramosum) develops a branched, somewhat lax inflorescence. It consists of numerous pure white pedicellate six-tepaled flowers. They measure 2–3 cm in diameter. The inner three tepals are wider than the outer three. The neck of the pistil is longer than the petals. All leaves are basal. They are up to 40 cm long, and 4–7 mm wide. The common kosmuljek is widespread throughout Slovenia.

It is somewhat more common in the southwestern part, as it prefers dry and warm habitats.
