On the bristly pedicels of bloody cranesbill (Geranium sanguineum) develop solitary, about 3 cm across, blood-red flowers. The stem is also bristly-haired, leafy with rounded leaves. They are almost to the base divided into seven parts, each part incised into 2–4 lobes. In dry and sunny habitats it can be found in almost all of Slovenia, only avoiding higher elevations.
