Flowering time: May–September
Size: 20–40 cm
Habitat: forests, among shrubs, rocky outcrops, old walls

Herb-Robert (Geranium robertianum) is immediately recognizable by the distinctive, unpleasant odor of its crushed leaves. It has an upright or sprawling stem. The latter is prostrate at the base, toward the top it rises from the ground. The stem is covered with long protruding hairs and glandular hairs. Long glandular and non-glandular hairs also cover the flower pedicels and calyx leaves, which extend into a 1 to 2 mm long awn. Its delicate petals are bright pink, 9 to 13 mm long. Herb-Robert is a very common and widely distributed plant in Slovenia.

At first sight it is very similar to the crimson cranesbill (Geranium purpureum), which, however, has shorter, 5 to 9 mm long petals.
