Marsh ragwort (Senecio paludosus) is a tall and conspicuous plant. It is recognizable by its numerous yellow heads and linear-lanceolate leaves. The leaves are sharply serrated and the underside is woolly-haired. It occurs in amphibious communities. Its development begins in water and then continues on land. It is found only at a few localities in the interior of Slovenia, mainly in the Dinaric region.

In the Slovenian Red List of Plants, it is defined as a vulnerable species, primarily threatened by the loss of suitable habitats due to the drying of marsh areas.
