Greater celandine (Chelidonium majus) is a branched perennial plant with lyrate leaves, which are bluish-green below. The plant is sparsely covered with long protruding hairs. Four-merous bright yellow flowers form small-flowered inflorescences. It is a poisonous plant. It contains orange latex, which is used to remove warts. It thrives in soils rich in nitrogen compounds, especially near human settlements throughout Slovenia.
