Under the guidance of an experienced mentor, you will learn the basics of traditional manual woodworking: from choosing a suitable piece of wood to the correct and safe use of carving tools. Step by step, you will shape your own wooden spoon, discovering the characteristics of wood, simple processing techniques and small tricks that make the work easier.
The workshop takes place in nature, in an outdoor classroom in the forest right next to Lake Cerknica, which adds a very special depth to the entire experience. The forest calms us, stimulates creativity and allows us to forget about everyday worries and obligations and practice being in the here and now.
Various carving knives will be available, and the process will take place slowly, safely and with feeling. At the end, you will polish and protect your product with oil, and then relax and exchange impressions over a cup of herbal tea. You will take home a unique, handmade spoon - a useful and lasting memory of the experience.
