Family Sound Walk

A girl is standing in the forest, smiling, with headphones on her ears. In front of her is a microphone, with which she listens to the sounds of the forest. In the background, behind her are two adults, each with their own microphone and headphones, listening to the events in the surrounding area as well.

Are you curious about what is happening far away, high in the treetops? Or also very close, in the ground, under our feet?

The Family Sound Walk is a playful and exploratory experience designed for families who want to experience nature in a different way. With the help of special microphones and headphones, you will discover the sounds that surround us together - both the obvious and loud ones, as well as the completely quiet ones that we usually miss.

Under the guidance of experienced mentor Andreja Košir, you will get to know recording equipment and different ways of listening. At several stops along the way, you will explore how water, wind, trees or the tiny hidden world under our feet sound. Children and adults will be able to try out the equipment themselves and record the sounds that attract them the most. At the end, you will share your impressions over a cup of herbal tea, and each family will receive their own USB stick with collected recordings - a unique and lasting memory of their shared experience.

Three people are standing around a tree trunk, to which they attach special small microphones. A girl in the foreground is listening to sounds coming from under the bark with headphones.
