The lesser-known peak “Javorniška baba” lies just below the highest peak of Javorniki, on the southern side of the ridge, and offers an exceptional view of the Pivka basin, to mount Snežnik, Sv. Trojica, Nanos, Triglav and the Javorniki ridge behind us.
We will walk to the summit along paths, trails, forest roads and experience contact with primeval nature, vast Javorniki forests, small and larger typical karst phenomena of the Notranjska region. We will immerse ourselves in the silent embrace of the forest with the music of birds and treetops, through which the wind blows.
If you want to stretch your legs more thoroughly, fill your lungs with fresh air and feel the freedom of the vast forest, rewarded with an exceptional view at the top, then this is the trip for you! The hike is also interesting for all amateur karstologists, biodiversity researchers and geographers.
