Experience the freedom of vast forests in the embrace of the Javorniki Mountains.
The ascent to »Javorniška baba« (1085 m), one of the most beautiful spots in the Javorniki range, leads you into the heart of the mystical landscape above Lake Cerknica. Hidden paths and forest tracks beyond Veliki Javornik reward hikers with stunning views of the Pivka Basin, Snežnik, Sv. Trojica, Nanos, Triglav, and the Javorniki ridge.
The route takes us through picturesque forests rich in karst phenomena and natural secrets. Feel the pulse of the forest, listen to birdsong and the whisper of the wind, and enjoy moments of peace and connection with nature.
The hike is open to all who enjoy movement, exploration, and views, especially those interested in karst features, biodiversity, and geography.
- Duration of the hike: from 9:00 to 14:00 (5–6 h)
