What else is there to discover about this magnificent big cat? Join us as nature photographer and guide Jernej Grom takes us on a photographic journey through Brazil’s Pantanal, sharing his photographs, experiences and stories from the field.
The Pantanal is the world’s largest tropical wetland and one of the most important areas for the conservation of biodiversity. It is home to numerous animal species, including the jaguar – one of the most charismatic and elusive big cats.
Jernej Grom will present a selection of photographs taken during last year’s exploration of the extensive river system of the Pantanal by boat. Alongside the photographs, he will share his field experiences and interesting insights into the lives of jaguars and other animals inhabiting this remarkable region.
He will also present a photo safari in the Pantanal, taking place in October 2026, followed by a discussion with the audience.
Join us for a photographic journey to one of the world’s most unique natural environments, taking place on Wednesday, 9 September, at 19.00 at the Cerknica Cultural Centre.
