The mysterious Javorniki hills are calling for the discovery of this primeval forest ridge, which offers shelter and food for the survival of many animals. On the hike to the top, we will encounter traces of forest life, listen to the silence of the forest and smell its mysterious thousand-year-old spirit, and observe the playfulness of colors and shadows on the vegetation.
The approximately 16 km long circular trail runs along paths, trails and cart tracks, remnants of historical events (Rapallo border) and is suitable for prepared hikers who are able to walk for 6–7 hours (total 930 meters of elevation gain).
- Trip duration: from 9:00 to 16:00 (7 h)
- Meeting point: Rakov Škocjan, parking by the Rakov Škocjan Hotel (N 45.78862, E 14.29770)

- Required equipment: hiking boots, hiking poles, suitable clothing, a drink, mosquito and tick repellent
