The Multigenerational Center Cerknica and Notranjska Park invite you to a lecture on invasive alien species, which will take place on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 17:00 at the Multigenerational Center Cerknica, located at Čabranska ulica 9, Cerknica.
At the lecture, you will learn which invasive alien species are found in our region, why they pose a threat to native plants and natural ecosystems, and how to identify them. Ways to prevent their spread will also be presented, along with measures through which every individual can contribute to the conservation of nature and biodiversity.
The lecture will be led by Anita Kraševec, a project specialist on the LIFE OrnamentalIAS project, who will present current challenges in managing invasive alien species and offer useful tips for identifying and removing them.
Participation is free of charge; no registration is required.
