Opening of the Cerknica Carnival - "sawing the witch". The Carnival Prince and the Mayor of Cerknica are sawing together a wooden log with the number "25" written on it with an old long saw. In the background, they are accompanied by masks of the Empire from Vienna, the Butal parish priest and the Mayor of Butale. The photo is accompanied by the title of the event ("Žaganje babe") and the date of the upcoming event (February 12, 2026).

Notranjci smo umetniški narod. In Butalci smo Notranjci. Zato potrebujemo zgolj velik prostor, ki ga spremenimo v galerijo. Nekdanji Brestov salon je kot nalašč za to. Navadno smo razstavo odprli na debeli četrtek, a kaj ko je zdaj v pustnem tednu že toliko prireditev, da na vse človek enostavno ne more. Pa smo rekli, da bo najbolje, da razstavo odpremo že prej. Recimo v torek pred pustom, ko imamo vsi še toliko časa, da si lahko v miru ogledamo, kaj so nam tokrat pripravili nasledniki slikarja Čačke.

Odprtje RAZSTAVE bo v torek, 10. februarja 2026 ob 18. uri v nekdanjem Brestovem salonu (Cesta 4. maja 18).

Razstava bo na ogled cel pustni teden, vključno s pustno nedeljo in pustnim torkom ter po pustu v času od 7.00-16.00h, do konca marca.
