Skupina otrok in odrasla oseba so zbrani okoli mize ter si ogledujejo velik plakat. Plakat vsebuje različne slike živali, rastlin in drugih naravnih elementov. Okolje je videti kot učilnica ali izobraževalni prostor.

During the school holidays we presented the LIFE for SEEDS project at the Dina Center in Pivka, which is organized in cooperation with various partners by the Pivka Tourism Board. We conducted a natural science workshop aimed at getting to know Queen Carnica bee - Kranjska sivka, wild pollinators and their roles in seed formation and the importance of biodiversity in general.

During the workshop we first presented the plants and animals of Notranjska Park through the seasons—from spring to autumn. Then the children, with the help of a game that we developed as part of the LIFE for SEEDS project, through a series of questions on laminated cards and a board with clues and possible answers, explored the characteristics of pollinators – Queen Carnica bee-Kranjska sivka, butterflies, beetles, bumblebees and solitary bees. The correct answer led them to the next question, and at the end, with the help of clues they correctly placed the pollinators on the picture with their characteristic plants.

After the game we headed for a walk to the nearby apiary at Pivka Primary School, where the children got to know the world of bees more closely, then explored the forest edge and played by the stream. We finished the day with relaxing coloring of coloring pages featuring animals typical for the Notranjska Park.

Thank you to the Dina Center for the invitation to the holiday week and to the children for the pleasant and educational company!
