The European Union and its LIFE financial mechanism enable us to offer numerous free educational activities throughout the year. Currently, educational work in Notranjska Park is being carried out as part of a new European project.
We will hold four creative competitions in the Notranjska Regional Park by the end of 2029. The competition "If I Were a Bird" is currently underway. The deadline for submitting art, literary, and photography works is May 23rd, 2025. The winners of the competition will be announced on June 16, 2025. Over a period of six years, we will organize 60 free nature days (10 days/year) for pupils from local elementary schools and children from local kindergartens. The educational guidance provided during the nature study days will also include the use of various teaching aids (binoculars, catching nets, magnifying glasses, etc.).

In the coming years, Notranjska Park will also organize free themed nature camps. During the project, we will organize two free 5-day camps and one 7-day student research camp.

The Notranjska Park, a protected natural area, has been contributing to the unique story of Notranjska for 23 years, while also ensuring that nature is presented to our youngest visitors in an interesting and educational way.
The implementation of extensive nature conservation projects exceeds the financial capacity of the local community, therefore Notranjska Park regularly applies for projects with the possibility of co-financing by the European Union.
