Raca žličarica v Cerkniškem jezeru med travo.

If you have ever wondered what it would be like to be a bird, now is your chance to share your ideas with a wider audience.

Who can participate?

The contest is open to preschool children, primary school students and secondary school students, who can participate in the following ways:

  • Artistic creation – preschool children and students of the first triad
  • Literary creation – students of the second triad
  • Photographic creation – students of the third triad and high school students

The competition theme: "If I were a bird"

Imagine turning into a bird for one day. What kind of a bird would you be? Would you have strong wings and fly high above the mountains or would you play with the wind over lakes and meadows? Would you swoop toward the ground like a white-tailed eagle or would you, like a stork, fly halfway around the world on a long migration?

Would you stop by Lake Cerknica, where you can always find food and shelter, or would you fly to distant lands, to warm Africa, where new adventures await you? Would you socialize in flocks or would you prefer to live solitary? Where would you build a nest and raise chicks? Would you have to struggle for survival or would you explore the world carefree?

The theme offers endless possibilities for creation – you can focus on the beauty of birds, their movement, the environment in which they live, or on the challenges they face in nature, such as climate change, habitat loss and pollution.
