As part of the LIFE TRŠCA project, we organize free science days for local schools. Each year, the project supports ten groups of schoolchildren, offering them a unique opportunity to explore the natural wonders of Lake Cerknica.
The visit typically begins at the Visitor Center Lake Cerknica, where children are introduced to the area through an engaging film and a variety of interactive exhibits. This is followed by a guided walk along the Drvošec trail, leading to the Kuharca observation platform. Along the way, children enjoy fresh air, hands-on learning, and breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding landscape.
The implementation of extensive nature conservation projects exceeds the financial capacity of the local community, therefore Notranjska Park regularly applies for projects with the possibility of co-financing by the European Union.
