Lake Cerknica is not only an intermittent natural wonder, but also a place of constant transformation, stories, and inspiration. Its appearance changes with the seasons and the rhythm of the water — from a vast open lake to mysterious wetlands, meadows, sinkholes, and hidden corners of wild nature.
You are warmly invited to the photography exhibition “Images of Lake Cerknica: Where water tells stories”, which reveals the diversity, beauty, and unique dynamics of this remarkable karst landscape through the lenses of local photographers. The exhibition highlights the importance of preserving this extraordinary natural heritage while showing how closely human life is intertwined with the rhythms of the lake.
We kindly invite you to the opening of the exhibition on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 19:00 at the Jože Udovič Library in Cerknica. The program will be enriched by students of the Fran Gerbič Music School Cerknica, while guests will also enjoy local delicacies prepared by the Notranjska Okuševalnica.
The exhibition features works by local photographers:
- Ivan Kebe,
- Veljko Klarić,
- Erik Premrov,
- Dajana Radić,
- Miran Špeh,
- Tine Šubic,
- Zoran Vidrih,
