LIFE TRŠCA: Pens from the lake

Did you know that pens or drawing tools can be made from common reeds? They can be crafted when the reeds are sufficiently dry. The idea of creating pens from lake reeds was conceived by Jožica Mlinar, former head of the JSKD Cerknica, during a walk in Zadnji Kraj. Together with agronomist Marko Cvetko, she brought the idea to life and organized several workshops, where participants had the opportunity to try drawing and calligraphy using “colored pencils” made from reeds.

LIFE TRŠCA

With LIFE TRŠCA we will improve the conservation status of the intermittent Lake Cerknica.
