Notranjska Park launches new LAS project: Notranjska park – Academy

Notranjska Park, together with its partners, is launching the project Notranjska park – Academy, aimed at establishing a knowledge network and strengthening the competences of local stakeholders in the LAS Notranjska area.

The project addresses key challenges in the fields of sustainable tourism, gastronomy, heritage preservation, and local development. The Academy will provide tailored training and transfer of knowledge into practice – particularly in the hospitality sector – and contribute to higher quality services and greater competitiveness of local providers.

Main objectives of the project:

• establishing a network of knowledge, tools, and mentorship for local stakeholders,
• raising the quality of hospitality services through targeted workshops and practical modules,
• upgrading the Taste Notranjska program as a joint promotional story of the region,
• promoting sustainable tourism and developing local value-added products,
• preserving natural and cultural heritage and strengthening the connecting effect of the local ecosystem.

The project is divided into two phases:

Phase 1:

• needs analysis of stakeholders and preparation of the Academy Development Plan,
• establishment of the knowledge network and launch of initial training modules,
• workshops for hospitality providers: service, hospitality, waste management, process optimization,
• preparation of the upgrade of the Taste Notranjska program,
• promotion of the project through local media, web, and social networks.

Phase 2:

• additional workshops and training in the hospitality sector,
• video production of traditional Notranjska dishes (in cooperation with pupils of Stari Trg Primary School),
• promotional videos and photo material of hospitality providers,
• preparation of recommendations for digital marketing,
• joint promotion of the updated Taste Notranjska program.

• Project value: €62,435.07
• ERDF co-financing: €49,948.06

Impact and long-term value

The Notranjska park – Academy project will strengthen cooperation among local providers, improve service quality, and foster sustainable economic development of the region in the long run. By establishing a knowledge network and involving young people, vulnerable groups, and experts in tourism, heritage, and nature conservation, the Academy will become the foundation of sustainable knowledge for Notranjska Park.
