On Saturday, 7 September, we set out on the hike In the Bear footsteps trail , where we explored the picturesque Menišija plateau and admired the views from Špičasto Stražišče. With our guide Robert Kužnik, a member of the Menišija Tourist Association, we discovered landmarks along the trail and learned about the life and work of painter Maksim Gaspari. The hike concluded in a warm atmosphere with a homemade snack awaiting us at the Notranjska House in Selšček.

On Sunday, 8 September, we gathered at the Church of St. Primus and Felician in Bločice and, together with guide Štefanija Šebalj from the Cerknica Mountaineering Association, set off towards the Mount Križna gora. The hikers were rewarded with a sunny panoramic view of the Bloška plateau, the Loška valley, and the intermittent Lake Cerknica. After a short rest, we returned pleasantly tired to our starting point, passing by Sveta Ana and the source of the Šteberščica stream.

Both hikes were well attended. Participants were delighted by all that the mystical land around Lake Cerknica still has to offer.
Unfortunately, due to bad weather we had to cancel the hike on September 14 to Javorniško Babo, which was to be conducted by TD Rakek, and on September 15 from Šteberka to Karlovice, conducted by TD Cerkniško jezero.
Nevertheless, the Days of Hiking once again confirmed that the Notranjski Park, with its natural treasures, is an ideal place for exploration and active leisure. Thanks to all tourist associations, local guides, and providers for organizing the hikes.
We look forward to new hiking experiences!
