The Slovenian Forest Service warns that from September 15 to December 31, 2026, felling and harvesting of individual weakened and damaged trees will take place in Rakov Škocjan in the area of the road and at individual points along the Rakov Škocjan Educational trail. The purpose of logging is to improve the quality and aesthetics of the forest and at least partially reduce the danger posed by dry trees and branches.
Visitors are advised to avoid work areas during felling and harvesting for their own safety and to follow the warnings and instructions of the work contractors.
