At the Levar Tourist Farm, with advance reservation they serve you homemade delicacies from the bread oven: buckwheat, walnut, fruit, ham, corn or black bread. Pork, beef or horse meat are available, all kinds of vegetables and dairy products, and seasonal dishes. Specialties include stew with buckwheat spoonbread, štruklji (slovenian dumplings) with homemade cottage cheese and butter, stuffed veal breasts, and a sponge cake. Upon request the lady will also bake you a birthday cake.
During your visit you can view the collection Od zrna do kruha (From Grain to Bread) and a collection of herbal spirits that Mrs. Jolanda prepares according to her grandmother's recipes.
They can accommodate up to fifty people, and domestic animals are welcome as well. The host Frenk can take you on a guided excursion around Lake Cerknica with a lojtrnik (traditional horse-drawn hay carriage), or organize a horseback ride.
