Birdwatching is best done in the company of an experienced ornithologist, as he, with his experience and good knowledge of the most suitable spots for birdwatching around Lake Cerknica, will conjure an unforgettable experience.
About the experience
Your birdwatching will begin in the ornithological classroom of the Museum of Lake Cerknica in the village of Dolenje Jezero, where you will learn about many bird species, their habitats, and migratory routes. The experience continues with birdwatching in the company of an ornithologist who will help you identify the different species.
If you do not have your own binoculars, you will be able to borrow them at no extra charge before the walk begins; more distant locations will be observed through a spotting scope/telescope.
Conclude the experience with a look at the interactive Lake Cerknica bird table, where you can also listen to bird calls that you may not have managed to record during the on-site visit, or you may wish to hear their song again.
