Notranjska Park - Academy

The investment is co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund.

PROJECT PURPOSE

The NRP – Academy project will build a network for developing knowledge and increasing the competences of various stakeholders in the LAS Notranjska area. It is aimed at promoting networking for a joint market presence, especially in the areas of sustainable tourism, interpretation of natural and cultural heritage, agriculture, and pedagogical and nature-conservation content.

The NRP Academy will be established to facilitate the transfer of knowledge into practice. The first pilot implementation will focus on improving the quality of the culinary offer through training for restaurateurs and an upgraded promotional program Taste Notranjska.

MAIN ACTIVITIES OF THE PROJECT

• Preparation of the Plan for the establishment of the NRP Academy,
• development of guidelines for the educational and promotional program Taste Notranjska,
• organization of workshops to enhance competences in the hospitality sector, preparation of recommendations for optimizing promotional and marketing channels,
• video production of traditional dishes and photo production of hospitality providers,
• implementation of the updated Taste Notranjska program.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES

NRP – Academy follows "Green and Local" strategy with a focus on:

• promoting sustainable tourism,
• enhancing entrepreneurial skills,
• development of local value-added products,
• improving the visitor experience,
• greater sustainability and resilience of the hospitality sector.

A special emphasis is placed on training hospitality providers, who will gain knowledge about sustainable practices, digital marketing, marketing, and the inclusion of cultural heritage in their offerings.

EXPECTED PROJECT RESULTS

• Establishment of the NRP - Academy as a sustainable network of knowledge and practices for local stakeholders (restaurateurs, guides, farmers, tourism providers…),
• Implementation of an upgrade to the educational-promotional program Taste Notranjska,
• Development of a diverse range of hospitality offerings,
• Preservation of cultural heritage,
• Strengthening the local visibility of the hospitality offerings,
• Establishment of long-term partnerships in the field of hospitality offerings.
