Lisasti obloglavček (Carterocephalus palaemon) has a dark brown upperside of the wings speckled with relatively large orange or brown-yellow spots, along the edge of the wings in an arc there is also a series of small orange dots. The underside of its wings is dark yellow. It is sprinkled with large pale yellow spots with brown margins. The veins on the underside of the wings are also brownish.
Lisasti obloglavček lives in forest clearings and at the edges of deciduous forests, and it is often seen also in damp meadows, as grasses that it feeds on as a larva grow there. The caterpillar twists a blade of grass into a tube, which it secures with a silk thread, and then, hidden in this tube, it feeds on the leaf. Lisasti obloglavček occurs from the lowlands up to the forest edge, but it is not common anywhere.
