The stop-motion animated film, set in Barcelona, is based on the award-winning novel by Catalan writer Maite Carranza. It explores themes of homelessness, poverty, mental health, social exclusion and solidarity in a sensitive and child-friendly way. With humour, magic and warmth, it tells a story of childhood in which imagination becomes a refuge, friendship a source of strength, and community a place where support can be found even in the most difficult moments.
The film screening is adapted for blind and visually impaired, deaf and hard-of-hearing audiences. It features audio description, Slovenian subtitles and interpretation into Slovenian Sign Language. The project is co-funded by the Slovenian Film Centre. The screening has been made possible by Animateka, the International Animated Film Festival.

Story:
Twelve-year-old Olivia lives with her mother, who is trying to make it as an actress, and her seven-year-old brother. Although they live on a tight budget, their boundless imagination helps them cope with the hardships of everyday life. When they lose their home and have to move into temporary accommodation in a new neighbourhood, their lives are turned upside down. Olivia wants to spare her little brother the fear and uncertainty caused by these major changes, so she convinces him that everything they are experiencing is part of a film shoot in which he is the leading character. With the help of new friends, the family gradually rediscovers a sense of security and belonging.
