Primary school teachers are warmly invited to discover the educational programmes of Notranjska Park, designed to introduce pupils to the unique karst landscape, Lake Cerknica, and the area's rich natural and cultural heritage through exploration, hands-on learning and outdoor experiences.
The Open Day will take place on Thursday, 27 August 2026, with two available sessions:
- 10:00–12:00
- 15:00–17:00
Programme:
10:00–10:45 15:00–15:45 | Presentation of our educational programmes, additional activities (canoeing and cycling), and a guided tour of the interactive Visitor Centre Lake Cerknica exhibition. |
10:45–11:45 15:45–16:45 | A guided walk along the shores of Lake Cerknica and the Drvošec Trail, awarded Slovenia's Best Thematic Trail by the Tourist Association of Slovenia in 2020. |
11:45–12:00 16:45–17:00 | Closing remarks and Q&A session |
