Set on the edge of the intermittent Lake Cerknica, Tekavča Ograda offers a peaceful retreat in the heart of unspoiled nature – perfect for anyone seeking a break from city life. Located in the hamlet of Šteberk in the village of Lipsenj, the farm can be reached by paths from either Lipsenj or Žerovnica. It combines historic charm with unique details such as an old farmhouse stove, a wooden ceiling from 1832, and a traditional façade with a stone arch dating back to 1852.

The farm can host up to 19 guests, with a range of accommodation options. There are three apartments for four people, each with a private bathroom, dining area, and refrigerator. Two of these, rated three stars, also include a kitchen. In addition, there is a double room and a five-bed room, which share a bathroom.

For those who prefer the outdoors, Tekavča Ograda also has a campsite with flat, spacious pitches. Sanitary facilities with hot and cold showers are located nearby. Additional services include electricity hook-ups, barbecue use, access to washing and drying machines, and a shared refrigerator. Free Wi-Fi is available, along with covered storage for bicycles or motorbikes. With prior arrangement, guests can also enjoy hearty breakfasts and other homemade meals.

The farm produces a wide variety of organic delicacies from its own fruit, vegetables, and meat products. Fresh milk, cheese, cottage cheese, yogurt, and eggs are available daily. Carefully gathered herbs are used for teas, while edible mushrooms and wild berries are collected in season. The farm also makes apple juice and vinegar using its own press, as well as jams, schnapps, liqueurs, and dried fruit, all prepared and stored with care for the winter months.
