The main attraction of the museum is a living model of Lake Cerknica, through which you learn about the filling and draining of the lake. After viewing the model, a multivision follows, where you can view photographs and footage of Lake Cerknica in all seasons, and a visit to the ethnographic park with objects that eased the lives of the inhabitants of the lakeside villages during the lake’s constantly changing water level.

Lake Cerknica lives its life, changing its appearance from a dry field to the largest lake surface in Slovenia. If you wanted to experience it in all forms, you would have to devote an entire year, and even that would not be enough, for the images of the lake drying up and filling, and life in it, change from year to year. In the Museum of  Lake Cerknica - Jezerski hram you are offered the opportunity to, in an hour and a half, get to know this world-famous karst landmark, its history and its images.
